Server Settings

 

General Settings

  • Patch 1.65 as a “base” starting point.
  • Old Frontiers.
  • Old Realm Abilities as a base starting point, with adjustments for balance and changes to many worthless RA’s that exist.
  • Shrouded Isles races/classes available, but these zones are not open at release.  No Trials of Atlantis, or Catacombs races/classes/zones.
  • Improved XP speeds to that of 1.65. We believe in progress through commitment, and this is not an arcade type server. Base XP rates are however much improved to that of patch 1.65.  Additional bonuses can be found throughout the game.  In general, higher risk areas will reward more XP, including claiming and hunting nearby keeps and RvR dungeons.
  • 48 hour realm switch timer switch.
  • No restrictions on dual/multi account logging. This is something that will be monitored closely throughout the servers lifecycle to ensure other players are not affected by performance or other problems, but in short we believe that people should be allowed to have fun multiboxing if they wish. This removes the necessity to police multi accounting, and reopens up an entirely new dynamic to the game. 
  • No ROGS (random objects generated by the server). We feel the use of ROGS on freeshards is a lazy/fast way to solve the problems regarding loot (items, weapons, jewellery etc). Our world builders have created loot tables for every mob, including special items on boss mobs.
  • Autotrain is enabled.

 

PvE

  • Tinderboxes for increased health/power/endurance regen speeds. Only usable in PvE zones.
  • Pouches for carrying materials/items can be crafted/dropped by mobs.
  • Mobs have a chance to drop raw materials, based on the type of mob killed. See crafting for more details.
  • XP bonus system based on risk/reward.
    • Own realm (base rate)
    • Group bonus (+5% for first 5 players, +10% for 2 remaining players)
    • Frontier Zones (+25%)
    • Frontier Zones near a keep (+50%)
    • Frontier Zones near a claimed keep (+75%)
    • Darkness Falls (+25%)
  • Mounts which can be found/farmed.
  • Titles which can be earnt/discovered by completing challenges.

 

RvR

  • Few Realm Abilities adjusted for fairness and balance. In additional, several realm abilities have been reworked so that they are somewhat useful (for example: tireless now reduces style endurance).
  • Small RP bonuses for keep door repair/upgrades.
  • Chest loot rewards for capturing keeps, including guild banners.

 

Crafting

  • Crafting is the primary source of acquring quality armor/weapons.
  • Raw materials for crafting (excluding spellcrafting/alchemy) must be farmed or acquired throughout the world.
  • Spellcrafters’ have the ability to create “crafting bonus gems” which can be applied to armor/weapons/jewellery to increase crafting/salvaging performance chance/times.
  • Buff potions which are crafted by Alchemists are stacked based on quality of the item crafted.
    • 100% – 10 charges
    • 99% – 9 charges
    • 98% – 8 charges etc
